Full-Time Care in a Real Home
Everything a person needs to live well, provided with patience and attention in a six-resident household.
Included for Every Resident
Laurel Ridge provides 24-hour personal care and supervision in a licensed adult family home. Our residents need support with some or most of the activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, medication management, mobility — along with the comfort of a well-run home, scratch-cooked meals, and steady, attentive companionship.
Everything below is included in your parent's monthly rate. There are no tiers, no add-ons, and no surprise fees.
-
Respectful assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and transfers. We follow each resident's routines and preferences — this is their home, not ours.
-
Our trained caregivers handle medication assistance and administration under the oversight of a Registered Nurse and according to physician orders. Medications are documented on a MAR (Medication Administration Record), and residents are monitored for any changes in condition.
-
A caregiver is on-site and available 24 hours a day, every day. Whether a resident needs help at 2 p.m. or 2 a.m., there is someone here.
-
Three fresh meals a day from our four-week rotating seasonal menu, plus snacks and beverages throughout the day. Produce sourced from local farms when seasonal. Meals are adjusted for each resident's dietary needs, textures, and preferences — no one is served food they won't eat.
-
Weekly laundering of bed linens, towels, and personal clothing. Daily tidying and monthly deep cleaning of resident rooms.
-
A thoughtful mix of physical, mental, and social engagement — short walks, music, games, conversation, exercise classes, creative projects, and reminiscence — scaled to each resident's abilities and interests, never run on a generic schedule.
Our backyard sets the rhythm of the year. In spring, we garden together and plant vegetables we'll eat at our own table. Late summer brings blueberry picking, and blueberry pie soon after. And in fall, we pick apples from the property and press them into fresh cider. Real seasons, real hands in the dirt, real food on the table.
-
Each resident receives a personalized Negotiated Care Plan developed in partnership with the resident, family, and healthcare providers. Plans are reviewed regularly and updated as needs change. Families are notified promptly of any significant change in condition.
-
We coordinate with residents' physicians, pharmacies, hospice agencies, physical therapists, and other providers to ensure continuity of care.
-
Every trip to a medical appointment is accompanied by a caregiver — your parent never sits in a waiting room alone or navigates a doctor's visit by themselves.
Outings into the community are scheduled ahead of time and happen once a week. And if your parent would rather stay home that day, that's completely fine. A caregiver always stays behind, so no one is ever left without support.
Who we serve
Laurel Ridge is licensed to serve adults who need personal care and supervision in a residential setting. We're currently accepting residents who fit these needs:
Independent and assisted living — adults who need help with the activities of daily living, mobility, and medication management, and who thrive with one-person assistance.
Early memory loss — residents with mild forgetfulness who benefit from a small, predictable home, familiar caregivers, and a steady daily rhythm.
Couples — our two dedicated couples suites let spouses or partners stay together, even when one needs more care than the other.
Because we're a small home, there are care needs we can't meet safely — we're not a skilled nursing facility, and we don't provide two-person transfers or care for advanced dementia. During your tour and assessment, we'll review your parent's specific needs honestly and tell you whether Laurel Ridge is the right fit — or point you toward a place that is.
